Quick Overview

With the introduction of the P938, SIG SAUER now offers the ballistic advantage of the 9mm cartridge in a platform similar in size to the best-selling P238 pistol. A single-action-only trigger, coupled with full-size SIGLITEĀ® Night Sights makes the P938 handle like a much larger pistol, yet is still easy to carry concealed. With dimensions just slightly larger than its .380ACP counterpart, the P938 packs six plus one rounds of 9mm into an all-metal frame. The cocked-and-locked single-action trigger gives the P938 unmatched accuracy in a pistol its size. Fans of the 1911 will find the thumb safety, magazine release and slide stop lever in familiar places. An ambidextrous safety makes the P938 easy for left- and right-handed shooters. An extended seven-round magazine will be available separately. Nightmare, features a black hard coat anodized frame and Nitron coated slide, black G-10 grips and nickel accents.

Excellent! Review by Ogre
I've had a good time shooting my Nightmare P938 - a couple hundred rounds downrange so far and no malfunctions. I like the night sights on this pistol, and will soon add a CT Laser Guard. I wish CT would put out a Laser Grips version for the P938, but one takes what one can get. I'm a guy and I will be using this pistol primarily as a pocket concealed weapon during warm weather months, but I also have an OWB holster for it if I want to go that route. I can see where this pistol might make a good purse gun, too. It is most comfortable for me to shoot with the extended magazine. Those with small hands will like this pistol, too. Due to the ergonomics of the grip, recoil is very manageable with the P938, but I don't shoot +P's in it. My usual 9mm self-defense round is the Hornady Critical Defense 115-grain. I've also been shooting 124-grain hard-ball out of it for practice. Overall, my P938 Nightmare is an excellent pistol and well worth the money. (Posted on 3/15/2016)

Got a P938 as a pocket pistol for warm weather use, but have found it works as a winter gun in a belt holster. I've put a couple hundred rounds through this gun for "break-in" with no malfunctions. Recoil is very manageable due to 1911 ergonomics and the pistol is not uncomfortable to shoot - even with the flush magazine. After-shot recovery and getting sights back on target is quick! Accuracy is great - the pistol is probably capable of more accuracy than I can obtain! Disassembly/reassembly is a little tricky at first (due to ejector), but the learning curve isn't steep.

My only regret is that Crimson Trace doesn't make a laser grip for the P938 - they make a laser guard, but that makes holsters hard to find. I wonder if the Kimber CT laser grip for their new Micro 9mm (essentially the same gun) will fit the SIG P938. That's also my question about the CT laser grip for the Kimber Micro .380 - will it fit the SIG P238 (I have one)? (Posted on 3/1/2016)
